What we sell
We make display figures and collectibles to order. Each piece is 3D printed in resin, cleaned, assembled, primed, hand-painted and sealed in our studio. We also make custom acrylic display cases and produce apparel.
Figures are display pieces, not toys. Resin is rigid and can chip or break if dropped, and thin parts (blades, hair, effect pieces) are fragile by nature. They are not suitable for children.
Prices, quotes and payment
There are no prices on this website by design. Every piece is made to order, so cost depends on the figure, its size and the finish you choose. We quote each enquiry personally in South African Rand (ZAR).
A quote is valid for the period stated in it. Material and shipping costs move, so a quote that has expired may be re-issued at a different price.
No payment is ever taken through this website. Payment is arranged directly with you once your order is confirmed, and the terms of that arrangement — including any deposit — are set out in your quote before you commit.
Orders and lead times
An order is confirmed only when we have agreed the piece, the finish, the price and the timeline with you, and any required deposit has been received. Adding a figure to an enquiry list or sending a WhatsApp message does not by itself create an order.
Typical turnaround is 3–6 weeks, depending on the piece and finish. We confirm the timeline for your specific piece before you commit. Hand-made work is variable and delays happen — if yours is going to run late we will tell you rather than let the date pass quietly.
Hand-made variation
Every piece is painted by hand, one at a time. Small variation between a photograph and your figure — brush detail, shading depth, effect placement — is a property of hand-finishing, not a defect.
Where a listing shows the sculptor's own render rather than a photograph of a finished piece, the page says so. A render shows the sculpt, not our paintwork.
Intellectual property
Our figures are fan art, hand-made one at a time as artistic tributes. They are not official or licensed merchandise, and we do not claim any association with or endorsement by the rights holders of the characters depicted. All characters, names and related marks remain the property of their respective owners.
Sculpt files are created by independent digital artists, who are credited on each product page. What you are buying is our craft — the printing, the finishing and the hand-painting.
If you are a rights holder and object to a piece appearing here, tell us at resin8studios@gmail.com and we will take it down while we look into it.
Custom commissions
Commissions are quoted individually. Because a commission is built to your brief and cannot be resold, commissions normally require a deposit, and the deposit may be non-refundable once work has started. The exact terms are set out in your quote.
You are responsible for having the right to commission what you ask for. We may decline any brief at our discretion.
Shipping, risk and customs
We ship worldwide from South Africa. Shipping cost and delivery time depend on your destination and are confirmed before dispatch. Pieces are packed carefully, and we will tell you what courier and tracking applies to your order.
For international orders, any customs duties, import taxes or handling fees charged by your country are set by that country and are your responsibility as the buyer.
Your rights as a consumer
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Those rights apply regardless of what this page says. See our Returns & Refunds page for how they work in practice.
Liability
We are responsible for the quality of the work we do. We are not liable for damage caused by misuse, by displaying a piece in direct sunlight or heat, by dropping or mishandling it, or for indirect or consequential loss. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the piece concerned.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. The version on this page at the time you place an order is the version that applies to that order.
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
