What we collect
We only collect what we need to answer you and build your piece:
- When you enquire on WhatsApp — your WhatsApp number, your name as it appears on WhatsApp, and whatever you choose to tell us in the conversation.
- When you send a commission brief — your name, contact details, and the description and reference images you send.
- When you join the drop list — your email address.
- When you place an order — your delivery address and the payment details needed to reconcile your payment. We do not store card numbers; no payment is processed on this website.
We do not collect special personal information, and this site is not aimed at children.
Why we use it, and on what basis
We use your information to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, build and deliver your order, keep you updated with progress photos, and keep the records a business is required to keep. The legal basis is that the processing is necessary to conclude or perform a contract with you, to comply with the law, or — for the drop list — your consent.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
We share only what is necessary, with:
- Couriers — your name, delivery address and phone number, so your order can be delivered.
- WhatsApp (Meta) — enquiries reach us through WhatsApp, so your message is handled under Meta's own privacy terms as well as this policy.
- Our hosting and analytics providers — see “This website” below.
This website
The site is a set of static pages. It does not use advertising cookies, and it does not track you across other websites.
Your browser stores your enquiry list on your own device (in local storage) so it survives a page refresh. That list stays on your device and is only sent anywhere when you choose to send it to us on WhatsApp.
We use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics to see which pages are being read. It reports visit counts and page paths — it does not build a profile of you or identify you personally.
Cross-border transfers
Our website hosting, analytics and WhatsApp messaging are provided by companies that operate servers outside South Africa. Where your information is processed abroad, it is protected by those providers' own data-protection commitments, which POPIA requires to be comparable to South African law.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become orders are kept while the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you come back to it. Order records are kept for as long as tax and company law require. Drop-list emails are kept until you unsubscribe.
How we protect it
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to enquiry and order records is limited to the people in the studio who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your information we will notify you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may:
- ask what personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to us processing it;
- withdraw consent for the drop list at any time; and
- complain to the Information Regulator.
